The Under 11 Hornets players meet up each Sunday to train at the Hornets Nest to improve their core rugby skills and enjoy themselves. Throughout the season, we play fixtures against teams from Cumbria, Lancashire and N Yorks. Our aim in these games is to play fairly, to play well and to represent our Club, our teammates and ourselves as well as we can. As well as this we take part in several Tournaments/Festivals in the North of England each year.
All of our players take a full and active part in fixtures and all of our players get 'even' game time. From the most experienced player, to a complete 'newbie', everyone who wishes to play, gets the opportunity to do so.
Girls and boys are equally welcome to play for the U11 Hornets (year 6 ), whether you are a total beginner, have tried Rugby in the past or you have bags of experience - there is a warm welcome for you.
We would love you to come down to Kendal Rugby Club and give us a try. The only things that you'll need initially are a pair of Rugby or Football Boots (on Safety Grounds, Kendal Hornets actively discourage the use of Bladed Boots in our agegroup & some of the teams that we play have a similar policy) and a mouth guard.
Everyone gets 3 sessions at the Club before they have to pay their subs and register with the RFU. To play for Kendal Hornets U11's in a fixture, you must be registered, have paid your subs, have boots with no sharp edges and a mouthguard.
