Opponents Rochdale had just pipped the Kendal team by a single point to top their League Conference.

It appears Rochdale took an early lead with a converted try 7v0 and had a chance to extend the lead with a penalty after a quarter of an hour, and five minutes late did to open up a 10v0 lead

Outside half Aaron Stephens opened the Kendal scoring with a try late in the first half for a 10v5 half time deficit

The gap was cut early in the second half with a Aaron Stephens penalty, 10v8 and shortly after a try from No.8 Patrick Wolstenholme gave Kendal the lead for the first time 10v13

Mid-way through the half Rochdale re-took the lead with a converted try 17v13, but shortly afterwards a try from second row Oscar Coxon converted by Aaron Stephens gave Kendal a five point lead 15v20

This was wiped out shortly afterwards, with a third Rochdale try to tie the scores 20v20

What turned out to be the final points came with an Aaron Stephens penalty with then minutes to play 20v23

FINAL RESULT : Rochdale Senior Colts 20 (10) v (5) 23 Kendal

So like many games this season it looks like a very tight contest
