It could not have been closer last weekend between Ben and Matt, but no doubt at all this weekend, with Matt picking up 71% of the votes (in the second highest total vote of the season) on his long awaited 200th appearance for the Club.

Can't do better than repeat what was said last week "The club are fortunately to have so many good backrow players, but there is no doubt Matt brings something extra to the team performance, and certainly it appeared to be getting the best from others around him on Saturday".

His two tries this weekend took him to another landmark of 50 tries for the club, having appeared in a number of different positions.

After the Wharfdale game, where he picked up an injury, we were told he would be out for six weeks. This weekend was week six (although he was of course back in action a week earlier).

Ben Dixon was in second, but with an eighth of Matt's votes, with six other players picking up a vote.

I did wonder if 71% was the highest ever margin, but it was beaten in what I think was only the third ever MoM Vote back in October 2014 (have we really being doing this for ten years ?).

The Winner that day also played on Saturday, and is back in excellent form this season (although he didn't get a vote this week). That was the game against Wigton when Dini scored five tries, and got 80% of the votes.
