Just when you thought you'd got away with it for a week, i thought that somebody would be concerned about my wellbeing (not much chance)so here i am to inform/annoy you with the past weeks antics in the wonderful world of the senior colts!

"not much" would sum it up at first glance! Yet once more our flying unbeaten start remains intact to 2014, with yet another cancellation last sunday due to the weather! Resident rotund oaf perie was seen with waterwings on sunday morning inspecting the pitches, and saying "it's as wet as an otters pocket" to his chum from the visiting sedgley park on the phone. . . . Both teams will try again, this time with sedgley winning the draw to host (hopefully).

Saturday saw his first team chums defeat the vale of lune (someone had to point out to him they are from lancaster where he once lived, and the home of his favourite tipple!), and his development team chums had won at carlisle. In the development team were section heros bradders, fresh from his fabulous first team run out, and dane "dave, blaine, dan, d-diddy" blenkharn. Both by all accounts played as well as ever, with dane finishing the game frozen solid, and bradders with a sore hooter! Could have been worse dear reader, it could have been the most feared of injuries. . . . The dislocated wallet!

With a dearth of rugby this week, unless you own a telly, a suggestion! Why not have a potter down to the club on sunday to watch the kendal wasps ladies team? This is unless the elements get the better of the fixture, so eyes peeled to the website for more info, ko 2pm. I believe there are some vouchers for gratis grub, and a cuppa given out, so if you are lucky enough to have one (better than wonkas golden ticket!) please avoid perie who will no doubt be attempting to grovel some free grub out of the club once again!

As is now traditional a few notes of thanks. Paul, ray, john, phil, browney and ali for the company saturday afternoon. Danny harrison and riggy, gill and mike. The senior coaching staff at the club, especially steve for not accusing me of any ball theft this week! All the senior players, and the ladies section and coaches, especially beth, hope you're back soon, and nat for letting me raid her fridge. Everyone, bar paddy, for not owning up to reading this drivel (there's always one eh!). Matt "lancaster" jackson, we will actually have a game one day mate, ian "saint" thompson ( a true gent who has the midas touch with your money reader!) for the sponsorship, and baron john uttley of sbs, whos continuing support of the club at all levels is massively appriecated by one and all! And finally to you dear reader, may your cup runneth over all week! And if you're really unlucky, i may return next week to darken your day!
